Lando Norris has ended the second practice session from Barcelona as the fastest driver, holding a narrow gap over George Russell.
Norris' attempt was just 0.009s faster than the Mercedes competitor, with the second McLaren of Oscar Piastri not far away.
It was a challenging session for Valtteri Bottas, who spent most of the 60-minute outing in the garage with a car issue.
There were also problems for Liam Lawson, who came to a halt on the exit of the pit lane early on in the session with an apparent gearbox issue.
Charles Leclerc was the fastest Ferrari driver in fourth place, with Kimi Antonelli rounding out the top five.
Max Verstappen was sixth for Red Bull, but like FP1, he was audibly frustrated with the balance of his car.
