2026 F1 Canadian Grand Prix - Sprint Qualifying results

George Russell has taken pole position for the sprint race at the Canadian Grand Prix, besting Kimi Antonelli to the top spot.

While it was the championship leading-Antonelli who entered the session in top form, it was his team-mate Russell who jumped to the head of the pack on Saturday afternoon.

Most of the drivers managed to improve their lap times on the second time of asking, with both Mercedes' stretching out a large gap over the competition.

Lando Norris was third, leading McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri, while the Ferrari duo of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were fifth and sixth, respectively.

Two cars failed to take part in the session - Liam Lawson and Alex Albon, due to damage inflicted on their cars during practice.
