Kimi Antonelli took full advantage of Mercedes team-mate George Russell's second retirement of the season to stretch his lead at the head of the F1 drivers' standings following the Belgian Grand Prix.
Whilst Russell retired on lap one at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit after a collision with Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, Antonelli hunted down Charles Leclerc in his SF-26 to take the chequered flag.
From a 25-point lead going into the race in the Ardennes, Antonelli now has a 45-point cushion over seven-time F1 champion Hamilton, who went on to finish fourth.
Hamilton, however, faces a post-race investigation for an unsafe release and could well be relegated to fifth if the stewards hand out another five-second time penalty to the Briton, who was sanctioned early on after the incident with Russell.
Fifth-placed Piastri finished 1.743s behind Hamilton.
Russell, meanwhile, is now 50 points adrift of Antonelli going into the final race before the summer break in Hungary next weekend.
