Charles Leclerc has ended the first practice session of the Italian Grand Prix weekend on top of the timesheet, leading team-mate Lewis Hamilton for a Ferrari 1-2.
It marks a great start for the Maranello-based squad who is hoping to enjoy some glory on home soil this weekend.
George Russell was fourth fastest in the leading Mercedes, ahead of Liam Lawson, who returns to the Red Bull cockpit this weekend in place of an injured Isack Hadjar.
Championship leader Kimi Antonelli was fifth fastest for Mercedes, while Lando Norris, who is hunting for a third successive victory, rounded out hte top six.
Alpine's Paul Aron was the fastest of the rookie drivers as he slotted himself into 10th place.
It was a disappointing third FP1 outing for Colton Herta at Cadillac, whose car broke down just five laps into his run.
