Kush Maini ran out of sync to snatch pole position for the F2 feature race at the Hungarian Grand Prix, besting Rafael Camara by just over a tenth of a second.
Noel Leon rounded out the top three in Budapest, with Joshua Dürksen filling out the second row alongside in the second Invicta.
Fourth to eighth at the Hungaroring were Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak, Laurens van Hoepen, championship leader Nikola Tsolov and Dino Beganovic, respectively.
Gabriele Mini and Sebastian Montoya will complete the fifth row of the grid, and therefore take the prime positions for the shorter, reverse-grid sprint race on Saturday.
Maini, Dürksen and Tsolov used an offset approach, setting their final push laps early whilst the circuit was quiet, which proved effective for the trio.
