Mercedes comfortably logged the most laps of any Formula 1 engine manufacturer across the five-day Barcelona test, while Ferrari largely flew under the radar.
It was a smooth week of running for all Mercedes-powered teams, resulting in 1,134 laps of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya completed using Silver Arrows engines.
No other manufacturer surpassed the four-figure mark in Barcelona, with Ferrari the closest, finishing just 14 laps shy of 1,000.
While Mercedes recorded the highest lap total of any F1 engine manufacturer, it was Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton who set the quickest lap, suggesting the Scuderia may have a solid base package.
Despite a crash for Isack Hadjar on Tuesday afternoon, Red Bull Powertrains (RBPT) recorded the third-most laps, with Red Bull and Racing Bulls completing a combined 622 laps.
This meant RBPT completed the most laps among the new manufacturers, almost 400 more than Audi.
The manufacturer that gathered the least data by a considerable margin was Honda, which ran for just over a day. Aston Martin managed only 65 laps in total, with Lance Stroll completing just four of them.
