After McLaren CEO Zak Brown voiced his unease over sister teams in F1, fans have concurred with his point of view.

Formula 1 fans have sided with McLaren CEO Zak Brown in his criticism of sister team structures, with a majority rejecting the current rules allowing organisations to own multiple teams.

Brown renewed his opposition to A/B team arrangements in April following reports that Mercedes was pursuing a minority stake in Alpine. The McLaren boss argued such structures compromise sporting integrity.

Brown has also raised concerns about intellectual property violations and staff transfers between affiliated teams, creating unfair competitive advantages.

A RacingNews365 poll reveals 39.09 per cent of fans believe the Red Bull ownership model, which includes a second team on the grid, should be permitted. Meanwhile, 36.26 per cent support maintaining the current regulations as they stand.

A further 13.31 per cent would ban full ownership structures like Red Bull's but accept minority shareholdings, whilst 11.33 per cent favour the most extreme position, arguing teams should not even be allowed as power unit customers.

The results suggest the F1 fanbase remains divided on how independent the 11 teams should be, though a combined 63.73 per cent favour some form of stricter regulation than what exists today.
