Aston Martin suffer latest misery with double Azerbaijan retirement

Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll both retired from the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, bringing to an end a tough weekend for Aston Martin.

Both Alonso and Stroll had taken grid penalties for fresh engine components, with Alonso having qualified 19th on the road and ahead of the team's main rival, Cadillac.

During the race, Stroll retired at Turn 15 on Lap 7 after being told to stop the car with what the team described as a water pressure issue, whilst Alonso engaged in a terrific battle with Valtteri Bottas for position. 

After the duel, Alonso was called in to retire on Lap 21, meaning the team recorded its fourth double DNF of the campaign, after China, Barcelona, and Italy.
