Speaking to Italian media after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc explained that he has the latest specification of the Ferrari power unit in his SF-26, which includes the ADUO update.
He had it for the Italian GP, but following his crash at Monza, it was unclear whether the engine could still be used. Ultimately, it appeared to be in his car in Baku, but it was information Ferrari did not want to share.
So Leclerc went ahead and said it. Asked about it, he replied: "I've the latest one, the latest spec," he began, causing the press officer next to him to start shaking her head ever so slightly during his remarks, with a hint of panic in her eyes.
Leclerc notices this, and adds: “I don’t know if I’m saying something I shouldn’t say, but I thought it was already known."
With that, the PR glances away with a clear look of annoyance on her face. Oops!
