Esteban Ocon hits back at F1 future speculation: 'I don't give a s**t'

Esteban Ocon has once again had to address rumours over his future at Haas following a run of difficult results.

Esteban Ocon has hit back at speculation over his Formula 1 future, insisting he does not "give a s**t" about what people are saying.

The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the season, with several rumours linking other drivers to his seat at Haas.

It has been a difficult campaign so far for Ocon, who has scored just three points, while team-mate Oliver Bearman has picked up 18.

Ocon has been out-qualified by Bearman five times across the opening seven rounds, while the Briton also leads their race head-to-head 4-3.

Securing strong results has proven highly challenging for Ocon, who struggled with tyre degradation and a general lack of grip in Barcelona leaving him in 13th.

Other midfield teams appear to be making quicker progress than Haas, making Ocon's task of scoring significant points even more difficult.

His future was already the subject of speculation ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, which he addressed at the time, and he has continued to stress ahead of this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix that he has the team's full support.

Addressing the speculation over his future, Ocon told select media, including RacingNews365: "I mean, I've got the trust of the team, I've got the trust of Ayao [Komatsu]. I think I discussed many of these topics already in Canada.

"I'm focused, with the team, on trying to improve the things we have control over. On my side, I'm trying to do the best we can and focus on the right things. People can say whatever the f**k they want, to be honest, I don't give a s**t too much.

"I'm just trying to do a good job for everyone. It's been three or four races that have been quite tough for the whole team. Of course, we've scored a few points, but not enough and not what we want.

"We need to get back into shape, and we deserve it. Obviously, we're doing a lot of hard work, but it has yet to pay off."
