FIA provide update on Alpine protest against Monaco GP result

Alpine filed a protest against the race results following the Monaco Grand Prix.

The FIA has issued an update on the Right of Review lodged by Alpine after the Monaco Grand Prix.

Alpine's complaint was raised after it took issue with two penalties imposed on Pierre Gasly, who crossed the line in third place but dropped to seventh place.

The punishments related to speed in the pit lane, an offence that several other drivers were also found guilty of during the race.

The FIA has now confirmed that it will hold a hearing on Thursday ahead of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.

“The team representative is required to report to the Stewards on Thursday 11th June 2026, at 13:00 CEST in relation to the above,” read a document.

“The hearing will be held virtually via video conference, details of which will be provided by separate communication.”

As is customary with the Right of Review process, the hearing will be held in two parts.

The first will be to “hear evidence and submissions from the petitioner as to whether there is a 'significant and relevant new element which was unavailable to the party seeking the review at the time of the decision concerned'”.

If it is deemed that there is new evidence available, a second hearing will then be held, with the statement indicating that it would take place “in all likelihood shortly after the first part of the hearing.”

The statement added: “Any other 'concerned party' may seek the permission of the Stewards to appear.”

Should Alpine be successful with its challenge, it would mark the team's first podium since Brazil, 2024.
