Isack Hadjar has urged Red Bull to get on top of its starting procedures after losing out at the start of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.
Hadjar lined up on the starting grid in sixth place but made a slow getaway and was demoted far down the order.
The Frenchman would recover to sixth in the grand prix to bag his third straight point-scoring finish, however his day was made more difficult by being forced into a recovery drive.
Hadjar stated he was suffering from poor starts throughout the weekend during practice, but Sunday's important launch was the worst of the bunch.
“It's just the whole weekend has been like this for me,” Hadjar told media including RacingNews365.
“Out of the six practice starts we had the whole weekend, it was the worst.
“It had to happen on the grid. I stalled twice, which I never did the whole season.
“We need to fix these issues, because the procedure is way too complicated.
“I'm not a computer, I'm not a machine, I can't be 0.0001 per cent precise. It's not working.”
Hadjar fought back through the pack and after emerging in front of the midfield, he found himself in No Man's Land, a long way off the other front-running drivers.
It made for a “boring” afternoon, according to the 21-year-old.
“If you're starting at the back, like me, you clear the midfield cars quite easily, and then the top cars are nowhere near you,” he said.
“So then it's a boring race. But to be fair, we did better than I expected for a track like that with these conditions.”
