Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc facing FIA investigations ahead of Barcelona qualifying

Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc could be in trouble for infractions during the final hour of free practice at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Kimi Antonelli and Charles Leclerc will be investigated after the third and final practice session at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix.

The Mercedes driver caught the ire of the race director for allegedly driving erratically at Turn 2 towards the end of FP3 in Spain, and the Ferrari driver will be looked at for potentially impeding Nico Hulkenberg at Turn 5 in the dying moments of the hour.

Antonelli had his final push lap ruined as he encountered traffic, ending the session down in seventh as his Mercedes team-mate George Russell topped the timing boards.

Leclerc rounded out the top three, sandwiched between the two McLarens.

Both drivers will need to visit the FIA stewards to explain their respective situations.

Lance Stroll, meanwhile, was caught speeding in the pit lane by 5.9kph, for which Aston Martin has been fined €600.
