Lando Norris handed 'surreal' honour ahead of major F1 race

The world-famous Madame Tussauds attraction will have some F1 inclusion later this month.

Madame Tussauds, a famous tourist attraction that specialises in wax figures, has unveiled its build of reigning F1 champion Lando Norris.

The sculpture was announced in March earlier this year and was being built in time for the British Grand Prix, which takes place in just over one week's time.

It will be available to view from June 30 at the Baker Street attraction and sit alongside fellow F1 champion Lewis Hamilton and Bayern Munich star Harry Kane.

“Seeing the figure finished and standing next to it is pretty surreal - it really is like looking at another version of me,” Norris said.

“I’m used to seeing myself in photos, videos or a reflection, but this is me in 3D.

“The artists have really nailed the details; it’s so lifelike.”

To complete the look, Norris donated one of his McLaren papaya race suits.

In addition, a replica of his 2025 race helmet has been created, which is held in the figure's hand as it poses in a celebratory stance.

“I also wanted to donate one of my race suits so fans can see up close something I actually wear when I’m racing and help make the figure feel as realistic as possible,” Norris added.

“I can’t wait for everyone to come and see it in London this summer, and I hope everyone has fun visiting.”

Norris returns to the British GP next week seeking to defend his win on home soil from 12 months ago.
