Lewis Hamilton has set his sights on claiming victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix and adding to his success in Budapest.
The seven-time champion holds the record for the most victories around the Hungaroring with eight to his name.
However, it has been several years since Hamilton last stood on the top step of the podium at the Budapest track, with his latest victory at the location coming in 2020.
Hamilton endured a difficult weekend last time out at Spa-Francorchamps, but is hopeful he can return to form and fight for victory on Sunday.
“I'm hoping we can be [competitive],” Hamilton told media including RacingNews365.
“Well, firstly, I need to come correct next week and make sure I deliver the way I know I can deliver in Budapest.
“We have to come and fight for that win.”
The season, on the whole, has been a positive one for Hamilton who scored his first victory with the team earlier this year.
Despite the disappointing event in Belgium last weekend, Hamilton hailed the positive steps taken by the team in recent times.
“It's definitely really encouraging,” he said. “The team have been making great decisions with strategy.
“We've really elevated a lot across the board in how we operate on the weekend.
“Then [in Spa] we had the pace to win. Given everything, to come away with the points, I'm really grateful.”
