Netflix have confirmed that Formula 1: Drive to Survive will return for a ninth season, offering fans another behind-the-scenes look at what goes on across a Formula 1 campaign.
The documentary series first landed on the streaming platform in 2019 and has since grown into a global phenomenon, drawing millions of viewers into the world of F1 through its access-all-areas coverage of the paddock.
Season 9 will cover the 2026 championship, which has already delivered no shortage of compelling storylines.
Kimi Antonelli became the youngest title leader in the sport's history, while the development race between the leading teams has kept the competitive order in a near-constant state of flux.
Off track, the future of Max Verstappen has been decided, and the vast majority of the grid looks set to retain their seats into 2027.
Executive Producers James Gay-Rees and Paul Martin of Box to Box, the production company behind the series, spoke of their excitement at continuing the show.
"We're so excited to be making Season 9 of this iconic show," they said. "This year we're going to go deeper than ever before into the hidden spaces of this fantastic sport."
Whilst fans will have to wait before Season 9 arrives on Netflix, there remains plenty of on-track action to look forward to across the second half of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
