Red Bull has unveiled a significant upgrade to the RB22 in Austria as it looks to propel itself up the pecking order at its home race.
It has been a largely challenging campaign for Red Bull so far, who has bagged just one podium finish in the opening seven rounds of the campaign.
In a bid to push itself into the mix at the front of the field, a large upgrade package has been uncovered at the Red Bull Ring.
This includes an updated floor, with the team noting “subtle” revisions to the surface and the lourvres of the floor board.
Elsewhere, it has modified its rear suspension and revised the pylon profiles of its rear wing, as well as making changes to the exhaust tailpipe.
The sidepod inlet and engine cover have also been adapted, with the primary thinking behind those changes being reliability.
While Red Bull has produced the biggest upgrade of the top teams, the other contenders have not stood still.
Championship leaders Mercedes has arrived with a new front suspension and an updated engine cover to enhance cooling for a weekend with scorching temperatures forecast.
Ferrari, who is aiming to follow up its win in Barcelona with another victory in Austria, has also modified its floor, RV tail and mirror stay - all of which have been described as free practice test items.
The Italian squad has also revised its front wing endplate, adding further support to the upgrade introduced in Barcelona two weeks ago.
McLaren, meanwhile, has focused its upgrades on the rear of the car with revisions to the rear brake duct, and the introduction of the 'Macarena' rear wing - however the latter element is not expected to feature in qualifying or the race.
