The Circuit of the Americas, home of the United States Grand Prix, has hinted at a collaboration with the British Grand Prix track Silverstone.
It is not immediately clear what the tie-in will pertain to, but the Texan circuit — located outside of Austin — has confirmed the news will be announced on Wednesday, 5 August.
COTA, as it is known, has hosted the United States Grand Prix since 2012, save for the COVID-19-interrupted season of 2020.
Silverstone, meanwhile, hosted the inaugural race of the Formula 1 world championship in 1950, and has been on the F1 calendar continuously since 1987.
