Which team will score the most points during the F1 title showdown?

The summer shutdown marked the halfway stage of the 2026 F1 season, with Mercedes currently leading the way. But will that supremacy continue over the rest of the campaign?

The second half of the F1 season is nigh, and whilst Mercedes has dominated much of the campaign so far, the rapid rate of development means the final 11 or 12 rounds are all to play for.

Ferrari and McLaren have taken victories in the past five race weekends, and look set to push the Silver Arrows as the championship tightens over its final stretch.

But Red Bull also cannot be discounted. Unable to clinch a first win with Ford so far this year, that will be the aim in Milton Keynes when track action resumes later this week with the Dutch Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen will unsurprisingly want one final triumph at Zandvoort, but the four-time F1 drivers' champion will have at least 10 other opportunities, including two weeks later at Monza.

However, wins are not the only way to rack up consistently strong points hauls, and the fight for the podium will be as fierce as ever — particularly given the ebbs and flows of the upgrade battle.

Mercedes outscored Ferrari by 72 over the opening 11 rounds, but only by 2 points from the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix onwards, so there is no guarantee the Toto Wolff-led team is the most prolific as the season draws to a close.
