Alex Albon has backed Williams' "aggressive action plan" to ensure the team makes gains, which has seen the arrival of several high-profile figures.
Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, the Grove-based outfit announced that it had signed four individuals, representing a major boost.
Williams has recruited former McLaren chief operating officer Piers Thynne, Claire Simpson from Mercedes, Fred Judd from Mercedes High Performance Powertrains, and Steve Booth from Alpine.
The start of the new power unit regulations has been challenging for Williams, who were expected to be strong after sacrificing so much of 2025 to focus on 2026.
Just seven points have been scored from the opening five rounds, although Albon feels the signings will point Williams in the right direction.
Asked if the new personnel marks a positive step, Albon told select media, including RacingNews365: "Yeah, it is. I think that we've said it before, but there's quite a few things in the regulation change that we feel exposed us a little bit from last year to this year.
"It's great to see quite an aggressive action plan from the team to make sure we don't run into similar issues in the future. So I'm happy with all the signings that we've made."
A key issue for Williams has been upgrade production, with it often being slower than its rivals to introduce new parts.
The hope with the high-profile signings is that this can be improved, something Albon revealed Williams is aiming for.
Addressing hopes that the signings will improve upgrade production, Albon explained: "Yeah, for sure. I think that's, as a team, maybe one of the biggest areas where we struggle.
"So having that experience, you see, for example, the amount of upgrades that top teams are able to bring in so consistently. That's exactly the kind of thing that we're aiming for."
