His performance in the United States Grand Prix has set the stage for a potential championship clinch in Mexico City, adding another layer of excitement to the race weekend.

A Roster of Rookies

This weekend's practice session will feature an impressive lineup of ten rookie drivers, as 10 of the 11 teams have opted to give a newcomer a chance behind the wheel. Only Ferrari has chosen not to participate in this initiative, which highlights the teams' commitment to nurturing fresh talent in the sport. The inclusion of these rookies is expected to bring a new dynamic to the practice session, as they aim to impress both their teams and fans alike.

The opportunity for these young drivers to experience the high-pressure environment of an F1 weekend is invaluable. It not only allows them to gain essential track time but also helps teams assess their potential for future seasons. With the Mexico City Grand Prix being a challenging circuit, the rookies will have their work cut out for them as they navigate the twists and turns of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

Kimi Antonelli's Championship Chase

Kimi Antonelli enters the Mexico City Grand Prix with a significant chance of sealing his maiden drivers' championship. After a dominant performance at the United States Grand Prix, he only needs to finish ninth or better in Mexico to secure the title. This remarkable achievement would mark a significant milestone in Antonelli's career, showcasing his talent and determination in a highly competitive field.

As the championship battle draws to a close, the focus will also be on the defending champion, Lando Norris, who won last year's Mexico Grand Prix. With the stakes high and the pressure mounting, both Antonelli and Norris will be keen to leave their mark on this year's race, making it a must-watch event for F1 fans.
